Addendum covering the metered partner exit node service. Last updated: August 2026.
These terms apply when you enable partner exit nodes on your tailnet, in addition to the standard Terms of Service. Where the two conflict for this feature, these terms govern.
Partner exit nodes are operated by an independent partner network. OpenVLAN provisions access and meters usage; the partner operates the underlying servers.
The partner network is engineered not to retain connection logs that identify subscriber activity. Session records are ephemeral and kept only as long as technically required to maintain service. Independent assessments of this posture are published periodically.
Standard privacy commitments apply, with this clarification: because partner exits carry no retained logs, OpenVLAN cannot produce per-user exit activity in response to legal requests beyond coarse billing aggregates.
Partner exits are offered as capacity allows by region. Individual exits may rotate or be withdrawn; the client will fail over automatically.
