OpenVLAN for Linux

One command installs on most distros. Packages, static binaries, and tarballs for everything else.

Quick install

$ curl -fsSL https://www.openvlan.com/install.sh | sh

The script detects your distro and configures the right repository — Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, RHEL/Rocky/Alma, Alma, Alpine, Arch, and more.

Servers and special cases

Static binaries

No-package environments: a static openvlan binary plus openvanled systemd unit ships as a tarball.

Subnet routers

Run openvlan up --advertise-routes=10.0.0.0/16 and enable IP forwarding — that box is now your site's gateway.

Containers

Sidecar or CNI mode for Docker and Kubernetes; each pod can join as its own node.

Headless auth

Auth keys for unattended enrollment — CI runners, IoT fleets, and autoscaling groups.
